# Animate – Move along path (en)

Blender tutorial: make an object move along a path. Two parts: attach the object to the path, then animate the path itself.

## Step 1: Add a path

**How:** Shift-A → Curve → Path. Then Edit mode to reshape the path.

## Step 2: Attach the object to the path

**How:** Object mode → select the object → add constraint → Follow Path.

---

## Step 3: Animate the path

**How:** select the path → Edit mode → select a few points → Ctrl-H (Hook to New Object). A new empty is created.

Back in Object mode, animate the empty — the object now moves along the animated path.
